Overview

Sariska National Park is located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. it is one of the most famous national parks in Rajasthan which is beautifully located amidst the Aravali Hills. It is one of the most visited national parks in the country. It is located only at a distance of about 107 kilometers from Jaipur. This national park occupies more than 800 square kms of the forest area. It’s a beautiful forest and the most perfect way of exploring the jungle and the wild life of Sariska National Park is not other than the Jeep Safari. With the help of Jeep Safari, tourists get the opportunity to explore the dense and beautiful jungle of Sariska and also get the opportunity to spot a large number of wild animals in their natural habitat including Royal Bengal Tiger. Sariska National Park is beautifully enveloped by the lush greenery hills and valleys of Aravali Range. Apart from it, it possess a scrub thorn arid forests, rocky landscape, hilly cliffs, beautiful grasses and semi deciduous wood. Here you can spot trees like Dhok, Tendu and Khair in good numbers.

The main tourists attraction of Sariska Tiger Reserve is Royal Bengal Tiger. Apart from the majestic Tiger, tourists get the opportunity to spot numbers of other wild animals during their safari ride like Chital, Sambhar, Leopard, Four Horned Antelope, Nilgai, Rhesus Macaque, Wild Boar and Langur.

Tourist can enjoy numbers of other tourists attraction inside the Sariska National Park like Siliserh Lake. It’s a beautiful lake and a home to large numbers of crocodiles. It’s a perfect place for bird lovers too. A large number of bird lovers visit this national park to satisfy their thirst of spotting and watching the different activities of different kinds of birds and make their time memorable. This national park is a home to numbers of bird species like Sand Grouse, Peafowl, Crested Serpent Eagles, Golden Backed Woodpeckers and Harbours Quail.

The best time to visit this famous national park is between the months of October to March. This period is best to visit and explore the park. During this period the weather of Rajasthan are adequately suitable and pleasant for the tourists. The winter season starts from October to March. During this period, the weather of Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is most suitable for the tourists to explore the park. The little chilly weather of the winter months offer the most favorable climatic condition to the tourists to explore Sariska Tiger Reserve. Though the sightings of animals are low in winter in comparison to summer. Possibilities to spot wild animals increases in the months from March to May but the tourists have to tolerate the scorching heat of summer season. In these months the weather is dry and humid.

By Air: nearest airport from Sariska National Park is at Jaipur.

By Rail: The nearest railway station is at Alwar which is at a distance of 37 kms from Sariska National Park.

By Road: sariska wild life sanctuary is located on the Delhi- Jaipur highway near Jaipur and Delhi. This famous national park is also very well connected with Alwar.
